Abstract

The Movement of Unemployed Workers in Bahia Blanca Forms of organization and experiences of struggle (1995 - 2003) constitutes an adaptation of the Master's thesis in Sociology defended by the author in 2017. In this transition "from the thesis to the book", Becher's proposal of divulging his scientific work resulted in a clear, orderly and pleasant presentation of the topic and the research problem addressed, without this implying to put aside the theoretical and methodological rigor typical of a work to access the Master's degree. The first thing that stands out in the title of this book -as well as in its development- is the non-sexist use of the language adopted to disseminate his research. With this, from the moment we start reading, we find one of the strong ideas that guided the author's work: the dialectic and necessary relationship between theory and scientific and political practice.
